Being a Pro

Tom Thibodeau

A great quote from Bulls Head Coach Tom Thibedeau, shared by our video coordinator Craig Wolf

“You have to learn how to be a pro first,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Then you have to practice well.  Then you have to learn the league.  Then you have to learn your teammates.  Once you do those things and know how to do your job, you may get an opportunity to play.  But it’s a big step going from college to pros.  Everything is based on performance.”

How true is that?!  So many think rookie’s just walk into a pro league in any sport and dominate because they did in college or the minors.  It usually takes a very good college player 3-4 years to develop into a good pro and that is if they really put in the work.
