Today is the 32-year anniversary of the “Miracle on Ice.” This is a great  photo from that game: (*shared by Andy Gray @si_vault)

The U.S. pulled off one of the greatest upsets in sports history with a 4-3 victory and would go onto defeat Finland in the gold medal game and complete the “Miracle on Ice.” (Heinz Kluetmeier/SI)

Here are a couple of video nuggets… The Pre-Game, “You were born for this”  Awesome!

Below, the final 11 minutes of the Miracle on Ice, from February 22, 1980 in Lake Placid. This video begins shortly after Mark Johnson tied the game at 3-3, and about a minute before Mike Eruzione scored the winning goal at the halfway mark of the third period.

I’m not a hockey guy… but this gives any competitor chills.  This is perfect as teams head into conference tournament play and the NCAA’s!

March is just around the corner.
