Why is it that a baseball kid with poor grades who bypasses college for the minors is a cause celebre, but a basketball kid who's an NCAA non-qualifier is somehow a failure for not getting it done? It's patently unfair. Hmm, I don't want to stir the pot America, but could it be the difference between the suburbs and the cities?
